My name is Maddie and I am a Portrait Photographer based on the beautiful NC coast. I have learned the value and importance of capturing more than just the “perfect & posed” images over the years. (Since 2018 to be exact!) One of my primary goals as your photographer is to capture all of those candid moments. Too many times we focus on making sure everything LOOKS perfect, that we forget to just live fully in the moment. It's not just a photo - it's your story we are documenting on camera!
Documenting special occasions hasn't always been my plan believe it or not - it actually happened accidentally! I had always loved carrying around my moms canon camera and taking photos of anything and everything that stood out to me. Then, one day I decided to test out portraits with my friends and BOOM - a passion was discovered! Since then, I have worked tirelessly to create a brand and business experience that is positive and memorable for ALL of my clients! Sometimes it almost feels like a dream being able to do something that I really love as my job!
Something I strive to do is create an atmosphere where everyone can be comfortable and truly be themselves. I personally have always been uncomfortable in front of a camera, (ironic, I know) so I know firsthand that it can be intimidating. That's why I do what I do!
I love all things outdoors, and you'll probably always see me with a coffee in-hand! (No joke - I LIVE off it, lol) I am also prone to do some crazy things for that perfect shot, so be prepared to laugh! I have even been known to climb trees for the sake of the image. Embarrassing? Slightly. Worth it? Absolutely.
